The LEGO Technic Bugatti Bolide 42151 set was released in December 2022, but a new “Agile Blue” color version with code 42162 is coming in June 2023!
It is not the first time that LEGO releases a new recolor of an existing set: the most striking example is that of the LEGO Creator Fiat 500 set, first released in yellow, but then recolored in baby blue as an exclusive test for the English market.
Differences between the sets 42151 and 42162
The two sets are very very similar, even if we found two differences: one is obvious, i.e. the color of the bodywork, while the other is more hidden and we’ll show it to you later.
Instead, let’s talk first about the characteristics that unite the two sets.
LEGO has once again proved that they are the ultimate creators of models that capture the imagination of all generations. The LEGO Technic Bugatti Bolide is the newest addition to their collection of remarkable race car models, offering a challenging and exciting build for motorsport enthusiasts.
These fantastic sets include 827 pieces, providing a rewarding challenge for kids and adults alike. The sets feature a stunning color scheme, coupled with authentic sticker details, which will steal the show when displayed. The true-to-life details of the car include a W16 engine, steering, and scissor doors.
The second difference that we anticipated is the absence of the “CSR Racing” logo on the box and on a sticker of the new version of the set.
We don’t know what this choice was due to, we await an official statement from LEGO that can clarify it.
